MORE THAN EVER Southwest Iowa is a wonderful place to live, work and play. The communities in the region offer ample opportunities and attractions such as innovative educational initiatives; a thriving philanthropic community; a robust economy with tremendous support for businesses; and an appealing quality of life for citizens of all ages. As Donna Dostal, a resident of the area and President/CEO of the Pottawattamie County Community Foundation puts it: “It’s the most amazing time to be living in Southwest Iowa.”
Pottawattamie County Community Foundation (PCCF) is a partnership of rural and urban citizens dedicated to improving the lives of all residents by supporting and stimulating donor-driven philanthropy.
Our communities are made strong by working together and creating a culture that embraces diversity and thrives on inclusivity. We grow and flourish when our citizens feel valued, protected, welcome, and regarded as equals.
At the Pottawattamie County Community Foundation, we are committed to helping our Southwest Iowa communities grow and thrive. We support and espouse a culture defined by true philanthropy, which is defined as “love for humanity.” We stand firmly in support of creating a culture that ensures all people feel safe to be their whole selves, and enjoy justice and equality regardless of race, color, sex, ancestry, ethnic or national origin, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, religion, age, disability, gender identity or expression.
