All Care Health Center purchases new X-ray system

All Care Health Center (ACHC) has received a grant award of $1000 from the Pottawattamie County Community Foundation (PCCF) to purchase a new x-ray system. All Care Health Center will utilize these funds to augment the cost of updated medical imaging equipment. The addition of this new state-of-the-art equipment will allow providers to perform a comprehensive health care diagnosis and continuum of care, through better imaging quality, lower levels of radiation, and a decreased processing time, while benefitting over 500 patients, annually.

“All Care Community Health Center plays a pivotal role in our community by providing easy and affordable access to necessary medical care and assistance for individuals in Pottawattamie County,” said Donna Dostal, president, and CEO of the Pottawattamie County Community Foundation. “We are so proud to be a catalyst for the positive community impact that ACHC creates. Their dedicated staff strengthens the great communities of Pottawattamie County.”

This equipment is necessary for All Care. In 2018, facilities must upgrade to digital radiography, if not, they will see a reduction in Medicare reimbursements by 7% for the next five years, and 10% in subsequent years. The addition of this equipment will be a major factor in providing a higher quality of care to the people of Pottawattamie County.

“According to the World Health Organization, the right to health care includes access to timely, acceptable, and affordable health care of appropriate quality,” said Bill Wypyski, Executive Director of All Care Health Center. Wypyski added, “With assistance from the Pottawattamie County Community Foundation, not only can we serve every patient that walks through the doors, but we can serve them completely with a comprehensive diagnosis and continued treatment, without rescheduling them with another medical facility.”
