Henry K. Peterson Foundation Grants  

The Henry K. Peterson Foundation annually provides grants to nonprofit organizations who, as part of their stated mission, provide services to the disabled population of Southwest Iowa. 

Henry K. Peterson (1884-1966) was born in Council Bluffs Iowa. After graduating from Drake University Law School in 1908, he practiced law, served as the Council Bluffs      City Attorney, became a 1936 Congressional candidate, and the first chair of the Council Bluffs City Planning Commission. In 1955, he was appointed to the Iowa 
                                         Supreme Court where he served for ten years.
