When you donate to a permanently endowed fund at a qualified community foundation, you’re not only helping your neighbors today—you’re building a stronger community tomorrow. And while that in itself is rewarding, with Endow Iowa, you’ll also get back for giving. You’ll be eligible to receive a 25% tax credit for each donation, in addition to any federal tax benefits for which you may qualify.

This year, approximately $4 million in Endow Iowa tax credits are set aside to distribute to those who make gifts to permanently endowed funds at a qualified community foundation, like the Pottawattamie County Community Foundation (PCCF).
Gifts of appreciated assets: The net cost could be even lower if capital gains taxes and/or alternative minimum taxes are avoided.

MATCHING FUNDS
PCCF also offers matching funds from 10-25% based upon the fund type. We are the only community foundation in Iowa to offer this benefit.

For example: A $10,000 gift, plus $1,000 in matching funds totals an $11,000 fund, costing just $4,000 after the federal and state tax savings.
